How to operate the lab equipment freeze dryer  for the first time
   The lab equipment freeze dryer machine is suitable for the drying of materials such as high-grade raw materials, Chinese herbal medicines, biological products, dehydrated vegetables, chemical products, and pharmaceutical intermediates. It can be seen that the freeze dryer is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry. The advantage of the freeze dryer is that it can reduce the possibility of the material being oxidized and degraded, eliminate the bacteria in the material, ensure the quality, and the original shape of the material can be well preserved.  When using a freeze dryer for the first time, the components of the freeze-dryer must be thoroughly cleaned. The stainless steel parts are cleaned with ethanol. The organic glass is cleaned with normal saline.
  There is the need to pre-freeze before using the freeze dryer. To do this, you need to prepare a low-temperature refrigerator, minus 40 degrees Celsius, or minus 80 degrees Celsius refrigerator, put the items to be dried in a low-temperature refrigerator or liquid nitrogen, generally It takes about four hours or so and can be observed directly from the outside. After the item is completely frozen and frozen, the freeze-drying experiment can be performed and the item can be rapidly moved into the freeze dryer tray to ensure the freeze-drying effect of the freeze dryer.
  There are two power sockets on the right side plate of the lab equipment freeze dryer mainframe. One is to connect the power cable of the vacuum pump to the host, and then the main power supply on the second freeze dryer is plugged in. Before the vacuum pump operates, it must be checked whether the vacuum pump oil is added or it will not operate normally. The oil level must not be lower than the midline of the oil mirror. When the vacuum pump is used at the beginning, it has a relatively strong jitter and slowly becomes smooth.

 The working principle of the lab equipment freeze dryer is to freeze the items to be dried to the temperature below the triple point temperature, then the solid water (ice) in the items is directly sublimated into water vapor under the vacuum condition, and is eliminated from the articles to make the articles dry. . After the materials are pre-treated, they are quickly frozen, then vacuum-dried, sublimed and dewatered, and then packaged in the post-processing plant. The freeze dryer vacuum system establishes a low pressure condition for the sublimation drying chamber, the heating system provides sublimation latent heat to the material, and the refrigeration system provides the required water capacity to the water trap and drying chamber. The freeze dryer's quality requirements for freeze-dried products are: constant biological activity, uniform color appearance, full shape, firm structure, fast dissolution rate, and low residual moisture. The freeze-drying process includes pre-freeze, sublimation and re-freezing three stages.   1. First slowly (must be slow, otherwise the oil in the vacuum pump will suck back) Open the "inflator valve" and press the "vacuum pump" power switch key at the same time, so that the air slowly enters the cold trap.   2. Press the “vacuum gauge” and then the “refrigerator” switch to turn off. At this time, the indicator light goes off, and the “main power” key is turned on. After the freeze dryer is turned on, press for three seconds without display to release the key.

  3. Lift the plexiglass hood, remove the item, and store it. The lyophilizer freeze-drying process ends.

  4. After the ice in the cold trap becomes water, open the “drain valve” to drain the water.

  5. Clean the water and impurities in the cold trap and properly maintain the freeze dryer equipment.

  6. When the vacuum pump is not in use, cover the outlet to prevent dirt from entering the freeze dryer.

  7. For multi-manifold models, the rubber valves should be closed one by one and the freeze-drying bottle removed and the shutdown operation repeated.
